Oni Municipality Spatial and Urban Development Plans
Adapt40 are working in consortium with Keios on Oni Municipality’s Spatial and urban Development Plans. The aim is to make Oni Municipality in Georgia a secure place to live, to boost the local economy by promoting its unique cultural and landscape heritage, leveraging its natural resources, and integrating climate change considerations into the future development of the municipality.
Adapt40 are focusing on building Oni Municipality’s resilience and adapt it to risks, considering natural, climate and man-made factors using an innovative methodology and assessment tools. The Team are conducting three climate risk assessments, one at the municipality level and two at the district level for Oni Town and Ghebi Town.
The focus is on landslides, mudflows and earthquakes, and ensuring the Spatial and Urban Development Plans integrate these risks appropriately.
