Montenegro’s Fourth National Communication (NC4)

Adapt40 worked with the he Ministry of Tourism, Ecology, Sustainable Development and North Region Development in Montenegro to support eh development of the Fourth National Communication and the First Biennial Transparency Report to the UNFCCC on Montenegro’s progress and actions related to climate change.

The objective of the assignment was to enhance Montenegro’s capacity to address climate change adaptation through the integration of vulnerability assessments, climate scenarios and equitable adaptation measures. Adapt40 led a climate change risk and vulnerability assessment for the energy sector including spatial risk maps which highlighted key vulnerabilities and risks within the sector. As part of this, the team identified suitable adaptation measures, ensuring alignment with the NAP, and provided inputs into the Adaptation Chapter of the Fourth National Communication.
